Some people want to use Toilet paper more than others. 7% of Americans steal Toilet paper in hotels or motels.
Although we don't have an exact name of the inventor of toilet paper, the prime suspect is Joseph Gayetty. Joseph Gayetty made medicated rolls of paper marketed as,“Gayetty’s Medicated Paper”, in 1857. This toilet paper prototype was considered "a commercial disaster". The person to patent actual toilet paper was a man by the name of Seth Wheeler. He became the first person to sell plain toilet paper on a roll. In 1935 the first "splinter-free" toilet paper came out. The first soft, two-ply toilet paper was made in England around 1942. Since then, toilet paper has turned into a large industry with many new ideas like moist toilet paper, perfumed toilet paper, and colored toilet paper.
